Luncheons are arranged for the second Tuesday of each alternate month. We visit a wide range of carefully selected restaurants that provide quality meals at a modest price. Luncheons are well supported by members.
The first Club luncheon for 2020, in January, was held at the Union Hotel, Ascot Vale. As usual for the first Club function in the year, the atmosphere was convivial and around thirty members and guests enjoyed the occasion.
The luncheon in March was held at the Moonee Ponds Club, Mount Alexander Road, Moonee Ponds. Everyone enjoyed the occasion.
As with other activities of the Probus Club, lunches have been suspended due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Information will be displayed on this page when lunches resume.

Here is some information about Club lunches during 2019:
The first Club Luncheon for 2019, in January, was held at the Anglers Tavern, Moonee Ponds. As this was the first Club function for 2019, there was much animated conversation and exchange of New Year greetings. Around thirty-five attended and all enjoyed the food, drinks, conviviality and ambience of the Hotel.
In March, our Club had a wonderful luncheon at Old Man Drew, Ascot Vale. This “Café and Fine Food Merchant” operates in a lovingly restored historic building dating from 1868. We all thoroughly enjoyed the high quality and beautifully presented food (finishing with coffee and tea served in fine bone china cups and saucers), as well as looking through the other restaurant rooms and garden.
