Luncheons are arranged for the second Tuesday of each alternate month. We visit a wide range of carefully selected restaurants that provide quality meals at a modest price. Luncheons are well supported by members.
The last Club luncheon, in July, was held at Milanos Tavern, Brighton. This was a ‘Christmas in July’ event, with Morning Melodies before lunch with a variety of Christmas songs and other well known tunes from Elvis, Roy Orbison, etc. Everyone enjoyed it and had great fun singing along. The Christmas lunch was really good also.

Here is some information about recent Club lunches:
The Luncheon in September 2018 was held at the Cross Keys Hotel in Pascoe Vale Road, Essendon. A very successful and convivial occasion with 35 members attending.
The November Club Luncheon was held on Melbourne Cup Day at Moonee Valley Legends Restaurant at Moonee Valley Racecourse. Members really enjoyed the day (out of the rain), especially the winners of raffle and sweep prizes.

The first Club Luncheon for 2019, in January, was held at the Anglers Tavern, Moonee Ponds. As this was the first Club function for 2019, there was much animated conversation and exchange of New Year greetings. Around thirty-five attended and all enjoyed the food, drinks, conviviality and ambience of the Hotel.
In March, our Club had a wonderful luncheon at Old Man Drew, Ascot Vale. This “Café and Fine Food Merchant” operates in a lovingly restored historic building dating from 1868. We all thoroughly enjoyed the high quality and beautifully presented food (finishing with coffee and tea served in fine bone china cups and saucers), as well as looking through the other restaurant rooms and garden.
