Bowes Avenue Community Centre Ballroom Dancing for Beginners class, learn to dance Old Time, New Vogue and Latin dances, starting Wednesday 14 January 12.30pm to 2.30pm at the Bowes Avenue Community Centre, 27-31 Bowes Avenue, Airport West. Melbourne Blues Appreciation Society (MBAS) meet at the Flemington and Kensington Bowling Club, Corner Smithfield & Racecourse Roads, Flemington. Club website – https://www.mbas.org.au/club-events/blues-jam-nights. Newmarket Station is a 5 min walk away and Tram 57 (stop 28) is a 2 min walk. A map can be found here. Meals are available and Seat/Table Bookings close @ 2:30pm every Tuesday. Doors and kitchen open at 6.30pm with the main act at 8.00-8.50pm and then three 15 min jam sessions. A raffle is drawn after the first jam session with eight prizes of wine and chocolates. Entry is free and you can spend what you will at the venue, you need not be a member to attend. Membership is $45 single and $65 family per annum. A great evening out.
